A Collaboration
Europe City Partners was created in April 2020 to enable Walter Wood to continue working as a collaborator with City To City Europe (CTC) in the cities of Western, Southern, and Central Europe. Walter had been a church planting catalyst for City to City in Europe for over 9 years. When City to City restructured their staffing in early 2020, Walter was encouraged to create a non-profit ministry to enable him to continue his vital work with the church planters of Europe. Europe CIty Partners is that entity, and has been duly incorporated and has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS.
Mission of Europe City Partners
The mission of Europe City Partners is to help accelerate gospel movements and church planting multiplication in the cities of Western, Southern, and Central Europe.
Missional Activities
Walter will be coaching and encouraging church planters, nurturing church plant network growth, developing church planting training in multiple languages, recruiting and developing regional catalytic leadership, facilitating partnerships between U.S. churches and European church plants.
Relationship to City to City Europe
The relationship between Walter Wood and the CTC Europe Leadership will continue in like manner to what it was before the CTC restructuring. He will be considered a City to City Europe Catalyst for Western and Southern Europe, working in close collaboration with CTC Europe Executive Director Stephan Pues and the CTCE Team. Walter will participate in the Executive Team meetings, video calls, conferences, and be considered a member of the Team. His responsibilities will include implementing strategic plans for church planting and training in the cities in which he has been previously involved, and in additional cities where there is need and opportunity.
Initial Goals
Two to three coaching visits per year to church planters and network leaders in Dublin, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Athens, Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Croatia.
Develop new relationships with leaders in Porto, Perugia, Tirana, Belgrade, Sofia, and other cities that reach out.
The future plans for Europe City Partners spans cultural and national boundaries.
Church Planting Training to be developed in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, France, Dublin, and Croatia.
Creation of Partnership between U.S. churches and European church plants.
Recruit and develop Regional Catalysts for the Iberian Peninsula, French-speaking countries, Italy, Croatia-Slovenia-Serbia, Republic of Ireland-Northern Ireland.
