Building Gospel Movements in the Cities of Europe

By 2050, 70% of the world’s population will be in cities.

The world is moving to cities. Our mission is to help accelerate gospel movements and church planting multiplication in the cities of Western, Southern, and Central Europe.

The need in European cities is great.

Need

  • Europe’s population: 741 million

  • Professing evangelicals: less than 5 million or 0.7%.

  • The startling contrast between the vibrant, packed churches of the Developing World and the empty cathedrals in Europe is widely known.

Significance

  • Europe is the leading educator of the world’s youth.

  • Europe is the source of the fastest growing religion in the world: atheism.

  • A battle for the gospel is ongoing in universities, seminaries, and churches.

    - Greg Pritchard, Director, European Leadership Forum

Opportunity

  • Europe offers direct contact with millions of displaced people and groups.

  • By the year 2050, one in every five Europeans will be Muslim.
    - Ed Stetzer, Director, Billy Graham Center, Wheaton College

Hope

  • Although religion is in decline, there is a growing trend of actual belief, belonging and behavior.

  • The evangelical church in Europe is growing and that provides hope.

We are committed to impacting European cities with the gospel.

If you lose the City, you lose the world.

If you love people, you love the City.”
